The PADI Underwater Videographer specialty develops skills for professional underwater video production. This course teaches everything from sequence planning to advanced filming techniques, allowing you to create high-quality documentaries and cinematographic records of the underwater environment.
During two days of specialized training, you will learn filming techniques specific to the aquatic environment, narrative sequence planning, use of different underwater video equipment—from professional cameras to more affordable options such as GoPro—as well as principles of editing and audiovisual production. The course includes practice with various filming styles, from documentaries to promotional videos.
As a certified Underwater Videographer, you will be able to produce professional audiovisual content, contribute to marine conservation projects, and document technical expeditions. This specialty opens up career opportunities in underwater audiovisual production and also allows you to create unique records of your technical adventures, whether using advanced equipment or a GoPro for greater convenience.

Course structure
Classroom
Development of theoretical knowledge about videography
Sub Workshop
We will check the entire sub videography system, performing preventive maintenance actions, checking the watertightness of the box, and testing the three-dimensional buoyancy of the system.
Open Water
We will have three open water dives to practice what we learned in the other modules, capturing videos and actually diving as underwater videographers!
Post Production
After capturing our videos, we have an editing clinic to adjust our photos.
