1.4 Course and Trip Reservations

The TecDiveTrip application allows users to view, reserve, and request participation in diving courses and trips.

To enable this functionality, we may collect additional personal data, strictly necessary for participant identification, operational safety, logistical organization, and communication between TecDiveTrip and the user.

Data collected for reservations

During the course or trip reservation process, the following information may be requested:

  • Payer identification data (full name, date of birth, tax identification number or passport, phone number, email address, and full address);
  • Diver information, when applicable, including weight, height, total number of dives, and date of last dive;
  • Emergency contact information (name, phone number, relationship, and address);
  • Diving certification details (certifying agency, course/level, and certification number);
  • Reservation-related information, such as preferred or suggested dates and selected optional services (e.g., equipment rental).

Purpose of data use

This information is used to:

  • Assess technical eligibility for courses or trips;
  • Ensure diver safety;
  • Organize logistics, groups, and schedules;
  • Fulfill legal and operational obligations related to diving activities;
  • Communicate with users regarding reservation steps, payment, and their course or trip journey.

After the reservation is completed, the information becomes part of the “My Journey” area, where users can track each stage of the booked course or trip.

TecDiveTrip does not sell personal data and processes all information in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including the LGPD and GDPR, where applicable.

2. How We Use the Information

We use your data to:

  • Create and maintain your account
  • Synchronize your data between devices
  • Ensure the dive planner works correctly
  • Implement improvements and add new features
  • Send relevant notifications about usage
  • Ensure security and fraud prevention
  • Provide technical support

We never sell or share your data with third parties for advertising purposes.
